Kicken für den Guten Zweck - Prominenten-Benefizspiel Koblenz
The grand celebrity charity match organized by Koblenzer Schängel Kultur 2021 e.V.—in cooperation with TuS Koblenz—is entering its third round. Following the tremendous successes of 2023 and 2025, the Oberwerth Stadium in Koblenz will once again serve as the venue for a major charity match featuring numerous celebrities, World and European champions, and countless former Bundesliga stars.
Just ahead of the World Cup kick-off, excitement is running high once again—and for a cause of immense importance. Working in partnership with the Fly&Help Foundation and the patron of Koblenzer Schängel Kultur—Schlager star Vincent Gross—the organizers aim to construct a Fly&Help school in a developing nation (specifically, in this instance, Namibia). Their goal is to ensure that children in developing countries are empowered to lead self-determined lives through access to comprehensive local educational opportunities. To this end, numerous celebrities and allies have confirmed their attendance to take the field together for this worthy cause and help children in need. The list of confirmed participants includes TV presenter Jan Kunath, Schlager star Vincent Gross, RTL insurance detective Patrick Hufen, singer Pietro Basile, World Champion Kevin Großkreutz, Ballermann icons Marry & Sabbotage, Schlager singer Ramon Roselly, Dennis Eilhoff, Marvin Pourie, Olympic champion Anna Dogonadze, Anita Hofmann, Timo, Marc Koch, European Champion Eike Immel, Silvio Meißner, child star Jannik Freestyle, singer Olaf Henning, Schlager singer Anni Perka, former Bundesliga pro Frank Hartmann, singer Daniel Ceylan, TV detective Bernie Kuhnt, Achim Petry, Rüdiger Ziehl, Jon Jagger (nephew of Mick Jagger), reality TV stars Peter Klein, Marco Cerullo, Jasmin Herren & Philipp Bender, and many other prominent figures from the worlds of television, sports, and entertainment. The experienced hosting trio of Tom Theisen, Piet Ahrens, and Benjamin Leyer will guide the audience through the program.
In this match, the "Vincent Gross & Jan Kunath Celebrity XI" will face off against the legendary footballers of the "Lotto XI." The Lotto Elf squad features a star-studded lineup of football icons—including European Champions Hans-Peter Briegel, Thomas Helmer, and Manfred Kaltz; World Champions Guido Buchwald and Erik Durm; "Euro Eddy" Edgar Schmitt; Dariusz Wosz; Mathias Scherz; David Odonkor; Michael Thurk; Claus Reitmeier; DFB Cup winner Stephan Engels; comedian Guido Cantz; Jan Siewers; Christoph Babatz; Florian Dick; Alexander Bugera; Roger Lutz; and Benjamin Auer—as well as handball stars Henning Fritz and Christian Zeitz, along with many other former Bundesliga greats. Just days before the start of the World Cup, this ensemble will transform the Oberwerth Stadium into an absolute madhouse of fun for a good cause. The charity match will once again be officiated by FIFA World Referee Professor Dr. Markus Merk, alongside current Bundesliga linesman Benedikt Kempkes.
Naturally, a lively supporting program is also on the agenda. In addition to a dinosaur show presented by the "Geheime Welt" (Secret World) of Kobern-Gondorf, there will be a "taster" training session with Dariusz Wosz and Jannik Freestyle, as well as a cheerleading workshop—rehearsed on the day of the event—led by Nika Krosny-Wosz. We are particularly looking forward to the visit from the "Chaote Cheerleaders" from Mainz, who—accompanied by the "Schängel Gugge" band from Koblenz—will once again form a guard of honor for the teams as they take the field. Another absolute highlight is sure to be the grand inclusion match held prior to the main event, where teams from "Bananenflanke Rübenach" and VfB Polch will face off in a game that will also be filmed for television coverage. Be sure to take advantage of our "3 for 2" ticket promotion (valid for seats in the Main Stand and Standing Room areas).
Admission to Oberwerth Stadium opens at 5:00 PM; the charity match kicks off at 6:30 PM. Food and refreshments will be amply provided.
Children under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge, but they still require a ticket for entry. Please be sure to book the appropriate ticket category.
